W|N Serves As A Sponsor for the Fifth Annual Dialogue on Democracy
W|N recently sponsored the Utah Coalition for Civic, Character and Service Learning’s Fifth Annual Dialogue on Democracy. Partnering with the Utah Commission on Civic and Character Education, and the Hinckley Institute of Politics, the Coalition hosted the Fifth Annual Dialogue on Democracy dinner at the Little America Hotel, featuring keynote speaker Lieutenant General Brent Scowcroft. Mr. Scowcroft is the founder and president of The Forum for International Policy, which is a non-partisan, non-profit organization that provides independent analysis and perspective on major foreign policy issues.
Founded to instill in young people the desire to become engaged citizens grounded in democratic principles, the Coalition, chaired by Chief Justice Christine M. Durham of the Utah Supreme Court, also featured sessions earlier in the day for teachers and high school and university students.
With some 80 attorneys, W|N ranks among the five largest law firms in Salt Lake City, and specializes in practice areas including computer systems, software, e-commerce and information technology; electronics and electrical engineering; pharmaceutical, neutraceutical, chemical, biotechnology, and medical and life science technologies; physics and optics; mechanics and mechanical engineering; alternative energy; agricultural sciences; IP licensing; and complex IP litigation, interpartes conflicts and mediation and arbitration.
