W|N Serves As A Sponsor for the Utah Minority Bar Association Annual Scholarship Banquet

W|N recently sponsored the Utah Minority Bar Association (UMBA) Annual Scholarship Banquet. The UMBA’s keynote speaker at the Banquet was President Michael K. Young of the University of Utah. Honorees at this year’s Banquet included Senator Ross Romero (Honoree of the Year), Clayton Simms (Lawyer of the Year), F. John Hill (Jimi Mitsunaga Award for Excellence in Criminal Law or Pro Bono), and Diane Akiyama (Pete Suazo Community Service Award). Founded in 1991, the Utah Minority Bar Association strives to promote diversity and address issues that impact people of color, especially within the legal community.
